NVQ Advanced Apprenticeship courses

The Advanced Apprenticeship course provides learners with a mixture of salon-based experience and college-based learning, ensuring graduates have both the experience and knowledge to succeed after qualification. Learners will spend the College day in a mixture of practical and theory classes, as well as studying key skills.

The College has a large number of partner salons throughout Yorkshire providing employment for learners to gain hands-on experience in the industry.

The two year course

 leads to an Advanced Apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy which is
      comprised of NVQ levels 2 and 3 in Beauty Therapy, as well as
      Key Skills Level 2 in communication and application of number.

provides valuable work experience while training (Learners attend
      college for one whole day a week, plus attend a work placement
      a further 32 hours per week

 is funded by the government and learners will receive a training
      salary; the government stipulates that the salons pay learners
      a minimum of £80 per week

is open to applicants aged between 16 and 19 years on the course
      start date
