About Us

The courses offered by the College prepare students for the ClBTAC, lTEC, and ClDESCO - diplomas that provide opportunities to work in the many areas of the beauty, health, fitness and leisure industries. The demand for these qualifications is ever increasing as more and more health farms, hotels, air lines, cruise liners, hair and beauty salon, spas, gymnasiums and leisure centres open each year to meet the demands of the public. A beauty diploma is truly a passport to the world!

To complement the practical training and theoretical tuition, the College arranges outside lectures and demonstrations on a wide variety of subjects, including business studies, sales/marketing, make-up and all the latest machines/products that are being introduced into the market.

Also, to keep in touch with the latest fashions and trends in the various beauty industries, visits to major exhibitions are arranged by the College. All classes are kept small enough to ensure personal tuition and by using the latest equipment it is possible to maintain the high standards set by the examining bodies and ourselves.

As our students are proud of their achievements, Open Evenings are held during the academic year so that parents, relatives and friends can see what is being achieved and enjoy demonstrations. Salon owners are also invited to maintain the vital link between education and Industry.

Finally, the most important event in the College diary is the Graduation ‘Black Tie’ Dinner. The students are presented with their Diplomas and "Special Awards" i.e. 'Student of the Year", "Highest Academic Student", "Top ClDESCO Graduate” etc are announced.
Students work for these awards throughout the year and cups, shields and sponsored prizes e.g. £50O.OO worth of Exclusive Skin Care Products, are awarded to successful students.

Entry to the College

Students are only accepted for training at the College after a
      personal interview with the Principal.

Students wishing to enter a career in beauty therapy require both
a good general education and a sympathetic and understanding
      nature.

Students must be 17 years old before they can sit for their finals.
Applicants may come straight from school/college and there are an
increasing number of mature students entering into the field of
      beauty therapy.

Career development loans

As grants are not normally available for training in the Private Sector, it is worth looking into the Government's Career Development Loan Scheme.

This scheme is designed to help pay for training and loans are available for up to 80% of course fees and, in some cases, living expenses if on a full time course. Information and application forms can be obtained by phoning 0800 585505, or by calling a job centre.
