Career Paths for YCOB Graduates

Here is a glimpse at some of the exciting, challenging and rewarding career paths you could follow:

Beauty Salon

Whether you are building up a local clientele or working in a big city salon, the skills you learn will help you provide high standards of service every day and keep up with cutting edge treatments.

Self Employment

Gain valuable work experience along with the business skills training you will need to start a successful venture in the future.

Health Resorts/Spas

The professional skills you learn could earn you a job living and working in an exotic destination spa or performing specialist treatments on a jet-set clientele.

Make-up Artists

The College can give you the foundations to work as a freelance make-up artist. You could then work on magazine photo shoots, catwalk shows or specialise in weddings, make up lessons and makeovers.

Or why not undertake an apprenticeship or further training in creating special effects make up for film and TV?

Luxury Hotels

Many prestigious hotels now offer a salon or spa on site to pamper stressed guests. The high standards and attention to detail you will learn will prepare you to deal with demanding clients in hotels around the world.

Cruise Liners

The flexibility and business skills taught at Yorkshire College of Beauty Therapy will help you to develop a loyal customer base on every cruise as you work and see the world at the same time.

Teaching

Some of our best students are offered the opportunity to return to the College as tutors after completing their relevant teaching certificate, and have the chance to pass on their high standards and knowledge to the next generation of Beauty Therapists.
