If you are interested in pursuing a career in the Beauty Industry always ensure that you carry out thorough research before committing your time and money into the training courses offered by various training institutions.
We have recently received a number of enquiries as to why other colleges propose to deliver the same courses as The Yorkshire College of Beauty but in far less hours and at a lower cost. There are no possible short-cuts to the CIDESCO, ITEC, CIBTAC and the City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 & 3 qualifications. If the courses advertised do not meet the ‘Guided Learning Hours’ stipulated by these awarding bodies please ensure that you are not being mis-lead as this could result in you completing a course and not being accepted onto the professional register of professional beauty therapists (HABIA) .

Guided learning hours for ITEC are;
ITEC-Level 2 Beauty Therapy Treatments-455 Guided Learning Hours
ITEC-Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy-414-460 Guided Learning Hours

Guided learning hours for City & Guilds are;
City & Guilds-NVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy-458-469 Guided Learning Hours
City & Guilds-NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy-540-550 Guided Learning Hours

We are a reputable establishment who have direct government funding and have been delivering CIDSECO, ITEC, CIBTAC and City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Beauty Therapy for over 30 years. We are accredited by all of the above awarding bodies. Dawn Cragg Visits YCOB

Dawn Cragg MBE founder of M.T.E.C (Micropigmentation Training and Equipment centre Ltd) made a very special visit to The Yorkshire College of Beauty today to look around the college, meet the staff and students and to catch up with Christine Tilley who worked at Dawns CIDESCO college 35 years ago.
Since selling her college Dawn has focused on the world of cosmetic tattooing and actually introduced it into the U.K over 30 years ago, as you can imagine from this experience Dawn is very much a specialist in her field.
Dawn was awarded her MBE for medical tattooing in the health services. Dawn worked for 6 years in Harley Street and holds a license for the tattooing of children for medical purposes. Dawn has worked on many celebrities however she will not mention who to remain as professional as possible in the industry.
Dawn visited today with a view to deliver cosmetic tattooing as part of the framework for the Level 4 qualification which will commence in January 2016.

Graduation 2015

Another incredibly successful year has come to an end at The Yorkshire College of Beauty and what better way is there to spend it than celebrating with your family and friends at a lavish graduation ceremony?
We hope that all of our guests had an amazing evening-we definitely did! Our students should be very proud of what they have achieved throughout their studies at The Yorkshire College of Beauty. We would like to say a huge well done to everyone who graduated, our very special award winners, family and friends who have supported our graduates through their training and of course all of the staff at The Yorkshire College of Beauty who allow this all to happen.

Thank you and well done!

Leeds Fashion Ball 2015

On 7th May 2015 we attended Leeds Fashion Ball at The Royal Armouries with four students to apply make-up to the catwalk models. We were extremely proud of our students for the work they produced. It was an extremely successful and busy evening which gave them a real insight into the make-up artist industry.

We already can't wait for Leeds Fashion Week in October.
Leeds Apprenticeship Awards 2015
We are absolutely delighted to announce that one of our students Xena Daniels won the 'Against All Odds' award. This is such a great achievement to be chosen from hundreds of applicants! Xena is a credit to the college-we are so proud of how hard she works both in college and in her placement. Well done Xena.
