This qualification gives students the opportunity to gain all the practical and theoretical skills needed for a successful career in the beauty industry, working to provide beauty specialist treatments and coming out with a qualification which gives you the ability to move straight into a role easily.

About this Course

As well as the skills needed to offer specialist beauty treatments, this course also covers health & safety, client care and communication. These are essential skills for anyone looking to work in the beauty industry, so we make sure you have them covered after finishing a course with us. On top of all of this, you will gain the international CIDESCO Manual Facial Certificate, awarded by Cidesco, the World Standard for Beauty and Spa Therapy.

This course is part-time, delivered 2 days per week over 5 months.

The main skills the learner will perform are:

  • Facial skincare to include performance of a full facial. Including lash and eyebrow treatments.
  • Makeup application to include the understanding of face shapes and full makeup application.
  • Manicure to include care of the nails, hand massage and application of polish.
  • Pedicure to include care of the nails, foot massage and application of polish.
  • Removal of hair using hot and cool waxing techniques.
  • Salon reception duties.

  • We accept students aged 16 and over.

    No previous beauty related experience is required, however the following is needed to enrol:

    • A good command of the English language for communication, reading and writing.
    • Successful interview with Training Manager
    • Photo Identification (ie passport)
    • Completed application and enrolment forms

  • Start date in the academic year.

    Attendance must be maintained above 95% in order to successfully achieve your Diploma.

    • Client Care and Communication in Beauty-related Industries

  • On completion of your course, you can look forward to a very special ceremony.

    The award ceremony of special individual student awards will take place once everyone has been presented with their diplomas.

    The individual awards include:

    • Student of the year
    • Highest academic achiever
    • Most promising therapist
