Theatrical Special Effects Hair and Media Make-up

For aspiring MUA’s this VTCT Diploma is one of the most sort after qualifications in the industry and you will be given all the necessary practical and theoretical skills to prepare yourself for an exciting career as a professional theatrical and media make-up artist. This course opens the student up to a whole range of opportunities after completion, working in anything from theatre, to TV or even the film industry.

About this Course

This is a part-time course, delivered 1 day per week over 10 months. This course not only includes skills in make-up and beauty, but students will also learn about related health & safety, client care and communication skills.
This course aims to leave you ready to enter the industry straight after completion, so we make sure to leave you as a well-rounded make-up artist, not just able to create beautiful make-up looks, but able to handle all aspects of what a career in theatrical, special effects, hair and media make-up brings.

  • We accept students aged 16 and over.

    The following is needed to enrol:

    • A good command of the English language for communication, reading and writing.
    • Successful interview with Training Manager
    • Photo Identification (ie passport)
    • Completed application and enrolment forms

  • Start date in the academic year.

    Attendance must be maintained above 95% in order to successfully achieve your Diploma.

  • On completion of your course, you can look forward to a very special ceremony.

    The award ceremony of special individual student awards will take place once everyone has been presented with their diplomas.
