How to make fake blood, scars and open wounds using household items…

SCAR WAX …

What you will need:

– Vaseline

– Flour

– Bowl & Toothpick for stirring

Mix one part Vaseline with 2-3 parts flour and mix well. If it’s too sticky add more flour, if it’s too lumpy add more Vaseline.

Once the consistency is just right you should be able to mould it into a ball and It’s ready to use……

Mould the wax onto any area of your body, arm, face, hand leg and mould it to create the required shape (i.e. bullet, knife wound). For colour gradually add foundation until the wound matches the skin colour.

Other items that could be used to create a realistic wound are ketchup and toothpaste.

FAKE BLOOD …

What you will need:

– Light corn syrup

– Very Hot Water

– 1tsb Washing up liquid

– Red Food Colouring

Mix the syrup and hot water together to form a sticky liquid. Stir in the washing up liquid and food colouring.

OPEN FLESH WOUNDS…

You will need:

– PVA Glue / Liquid Latex

– Tissue Paper

– Foundation

Apply the glue or liquid latex onto the required area.

Whilst wet apply approximately 6 layers of tissue paper which has been torn into small bits to create skin. Cotton wool is also recommended.

Once dry apply foundation and keep adding to get the skin colour required.
